School, a place where we spend more than 10 years of our life in. It is just like our second home. A few years back, I may not have any strong feelings for this word. But not now.
My schooling experience can be traced all the way back to when I'm just seven years old. DaQiao primary school. It was the first day of school. I can still remember how the school was flooded with tall and huge people. Until now, I'm still so glad that my mum was with me on my first day of school. She stayed by my side all the while.
Then, I met the friend who changed my life. I met JiaXin. I can still remember how and where we met. My mum was bringing me to my class and she introduced me to the person who was sitting beside me. Yes that's right. She is Tio Jia Xin. Can you imagine? From the first day of school, we became friends. And until now, 11 years later, she still remains my best friend. This friendship is definitely one that I will treasure for many years to come.
We became best friends quickly. And since then, I don't remember having any other close friends in school. To me, she's all I need. However, things didn't go as well as I thought. At 9, I didn't perform as well academically and I got transferred out of the class. That's when I met other primary school friends of mine, kim yen and chia yi er. The three of us became best friends. I remember spending alot of time with them playing and having fun. However, things didn't go the way I thought again. But this time round, I performed well academically. It's the first time I actually got first in the whole class. Really awesome feeling. And so, I got transferred out of that class, back to JiaXin's class. By then, JiaXin and I already became complete strangers.
However, eventually, JiaXin reached out to me. She made a surprise call during the holiday when we were 11 and we became best friends quickly again.
I missed those times. We were young and carefree. Even though I was shy and quiet in school, I don't remember hating school. In fact, whenever I'm with JiaXin, I was happy. Everyone in school was nice too.
My primary school life isn't all that special or worth mentioning, but I definitely enjoyed myself. And I think that's all that matters. =)
