Dong Yi

Dong yi's so pretty and the King's soooo cute!! Omgggg I especially love their chemistry! Even though I'm only halfway through this drama, I highly recommend it! :D
This drama is about a water maid, which is Dong yi, who got the favour of the Queen and later the King. She then became concubine of the King. Although Dong yi's lowborn, she has an inquisitive, righteous and tenacious personality. And of course, a pretty face! :D She always seek for the truth and she never give up easily. Therefore, no matter what obstacles, she can always overcome them.

Today's quite a special day. Went to support jiaxin mum's hair salon since it's their opening day.
I think it's damn cool!! Starting a business really takes a lot of courage! Kudos to her mum! Haha!
Really hope that they will make it big.
Had a hair cut there and ginseng hair treatment. My mum came over to join us and talk talk after her work.

Then went over to my aunt house to visit grandma who came over from Malaysia. Mum chatted with grandma while I'm with my older cousin. Stayed there to talk for around 2hours before leaving. So why do I say that today's quite a special day. Because, the people I met today are inspiring people. Talking to them either made me feel inspired or made me feel comfortable. I'm glad to have such people in my life, people who inspire me to become a greater person. They're like the lighthouses in my life, guiding me to the right path.

These days to be honest, haven't been productive. Didn't sleep well too hence the very very dark cicles under my eyes! :'(

And I'm addicted to Dong Yi hahaha.

My dad also booked a holiday bungalow that's near pasir ris park for the whole week. It's a big house, but kind of wasted since we can't stay there for long, due to circumstances. But still, I'm loving it! :)

Oh! And the haze's giving me a headache! *run away crying*

Took GX-5 today w Sheryl and Amelia. Because it's Sheryl's 18th. Hell man. I love it! I freaking love it and enjoyed myself! And I realise my strong love for these kind of things hahaha.

Last minute decided to go for Tingwei's piano concert to support her!! I totally didn't regret the decision because now that I think about it, everything was totally hilarious! And I feel that it is the best way to celebrate the start of my JUNE HOLIDAY too!

After two weeks of torture in school, finally everybody's long-awaited day is here. Our hoolliiddaayyy.
I rushed home to rest before meeting Amelia at mrt station. Amelia wore a DRESS! I almost got a heart attack when she tell me that. HAHA. Anyway, so we trained to Dover prettily (for Amelia Choo) and happily. Here comes the epicness. I think it will sound really ridiculous and dumb to everyone else (except for Amelia and Yi lian, who really suffered :( )

So here I begin our 'ADVENTURE TO UWC'

Tingwei's concert commence at 7.30pm. Venue: Singapore poly convention centre at Dover.
When Amelia and Yi lian reached Dover MRT station, it's already 8.30pm. So they rushed to the nearest bus stop, checked the google map/the board at the bus stop. And decided, YES THEY SHALL TAKE THE BUS. So they board the bus and alighted at 'opposite Singapore poly'. When they walked straight, there was a 'Singapore Polytechnic' signboard infront of a freaking FOREST. They totally don't believe the signboard, and went along with their gut feeling, that singapore poly is OPPOSITE THE BUS STOP.
So they crossed the road and walked into a place that will soon bring nightmare to them.
There were no end in front of them, just a long walkway. At their right-hand side was a forest-like place. At the left-hand side was a building they believe to be the place they are looking for. So they kept on walking.
The whole place was so quiet and dark. Inside the building, there's not a single soul but a lot of art works. Everything's starting to freak them out. But they still followed their gut feeling. Just when Yi lian felt that something's not right, Amelia tapped her shoulder and pointed her towards a signboard that read 'Satan playhouse'. Amelia totally freaked out when she saw the signboard. But soon they realised that it's actually 'Safari playhouse'. Realising their mistake, they heaved a sigh of relief. They hastened their pace when they finally see the end of the long pathway. But to their horror, when they reached the end of the pathway, the building's actually a freaking United World College Singapore aka UWC! After that, they basically flee that place.

They walked out of the long and scary covered walkway and went back to the main road, where they crossed the road again. This time round, they have no choice but to believe the forest signboard. So they head towards the signboard and from there on, followed their gut feeling again. This time round, they really end up in Singapore poly. After asking for directions from the security guard, Amelia and Yi lian continue on with their adventure through the humongous Singapore poly. After getting a few help from some strangers, Amelia and Yi lian is finally on the right path to the convention centre. When they are almost there, suddenly, the place feels familiar to them. So they start to look around them. And to their horror for the second time, they realise that they are back to square one. You know why? Because the convention centre is just right next to the Dover MRT Station.  

Speechless.

Amelia and Yi lian went a whole big round. They scared themselves for nothing. They went through the whole UWC trip for nothing. And most importantly they are so late for the concert!

Ok fine. They accept their fate. They went in to the convention centre and enjoyed the last few piano pieces.

18th birthday

My 18th birthday and 17th birthday are so different. My 17th birthday was memorable, touching, unexpected and special. My 18th birthday, even though not as special as my 17th, it was funny but touching and sweet.

This time round, it is my JC friends who celebrated my birthday with me. I went to school as usual (can you believe how we're still having school even though it's June holiday ._.) It didn't start off well because I felt exceptionally tiring. Then during our first break, my JC friends (Sasha, June, Likai ) went to prepare the bday cake secretly. So everything went according to their plan. My sitting position had my back facing them and Shien was trying to distract me by talking to me. Then, just at that wrong/right moment, I turned my head and saw them. They were frantically trying to light the candles. At that moment, I got so excited that I quickly approached them and cracked some jokes. (They were a lil disappointed that they didn't manage to carry out the whole plan because of my interruption). Then, they sang bday song. And we eat our cake happily ever after.

Throughout the whole surprise, I felt blessed. And I can feel their love for me. I especially love the part when they were all singing birthday song for me. My heart was immediately filled with love. Really thankful to them (Shien, Sasha, June, Melina, Likai) for taking the trouble to plan for my birthday.

Second part of the birthday celebration was with baby Jiaxin. We went out for lunch and dessert, spending quality time with each other. Time spent with her was always very enjoyable and fun.

Third part was spent with Judo mates. Even though none of them know that it was my birthday that day. HAHA. But had fun training together and having dinner with them.

Last part of my birthday is of course, THE PRESENTS!
Shien gave me a painting that she and Joey painted. With a handwritten birthday card. It's the first time I received a painting as a birthday present so it is really special for me.
June gave me a pink necklace. HAHA. Pink again!
Sasha wrote me a birthday card. Thank you 朋友！
Sasha, June, Melina, Likai and Shien gave me a huge birthday card! Omg totally didn't expect it! Really thankyouuuuuu to you guys! I'm so happy to have you guys as friends really. (Btw, Likai's bday msg is really really sweet! Haha!)
Jiaxin gave me some make-up accessories which is really special for me too since it signifies the start of adulthood (learning how to put on make-up), and it's something unexpected too.
Amelia wrote me a birthday card and DIY something for me. I don't know what to call it. HAHA. Anyway, it's really pretty and I love it too.
Shimin gave me a giant pink rabbit soft toy which I really like too because it's so big and soft! And cute!
Michelle wrote me a birthday card and gave me a bottle of stars and a star necklace. Thank you Michelle! That's really sweet of you! :D
Bro's girlfriend gave me a face mask, a cute pen, a very cool necklace and two cute hairclips! I totally didn't expect receiving present from her! Haha! Felt really thankful.
Mum gave me one angbao. Haha! Really realistic yet useful haha!
Dad gave me a set of really really expensive jewellery omg. I really don't need them lor! Even though seeing them makes me happy. AND AND, MY FATHER SMS ME 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' OMG. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I JUST DIED OF HAPPINESS HAHA!
Not forgetting Sheryl's birthday lunch to Arnold! The chicken is awesome ok! HAHA. I really eat till very SHUANG. Also we went to watch The Great Gatsby which is a really really memorable movie. Because it was such a 'weird' movie. It kept me thinking for a long long time. Jay Gatsby died in the end. It's so sad you know! Why must he die?! :( He's so devoted to Daisy and his dreams :(

My birthday ended with my mum celebrating with me at home. Hehe!

I must say this birthday make me feel so loved and blessed. I really love all these lovely people.

Hi. Emo again. That's why I'm back.

Skipped school. Because the loneliness I felt when I'm in school is eating me alive. I don't know if anybody will understand how I feel. But the pain felt really really real. It's not so different from the pain of physical injury. This morning I was on my Dad's car when my friend sms me saying that she's not going to go school again. From that moment, I lost all the motivations to go to school. I wanted to turn back and go back home. So I tried reasoning w my Dad. But he drove me right INTO the school. When I got off the car, I was on the verge of tears already. Sounds very stupid and primary-schooish right? Like a child who don't like going to school so she cries and hopes that her Dad will let her off. But no.

I got off the car and went straight to a spot in sch that has nobody. And sat there and tears start dropping out. And I took early leave. The end.

I don't think there's a need to speak of all those emotional struggles anymore.

Dear God, please take away all my sorrow.

Once in awhile, it's okay to break some rules

I think I've been living by this belief for quite some time now. Late for school, handing in work late, sleeping in class etc etc. Sometimes, I just don't care anymore. What's the worst that could have happened anyway?
I don't care okay. Who came up with all these rules anyway? Life is so ... STUCK with all these bullshits.

I'll be really honest here. I really hate going to school now. It just feel so....meaningless and pointless to me. I think everything boils down to the people in the school. Of course, if we all have our best buddies in school, we'll be so excited for school. But what if all we have are strangers?

I'll always tell myself:
It's okay. Everything will be okay.

Until this moment, I still believe that everything will be okay one okay? I do believe that everything will be okay. There's just so many things going on in my life now, I'll happily give school a miss if it's possible.
But no. School is school. We still have to go to school no matter what. Don't believe all those bullshits people say, what it is okay not to go school or whatever. It is not okay. Not in this society. Not in Singapore.

THEREFORE, CONTINUE GOING TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY.

And since you have to do it anyway, why not do it with a smile?

HENCE, CONTINUE GOING TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

Primary School and JiaXin

School, a place where we spend more than 10 years of our life in. It is just like our second home. A few years back, I may not have any strong feelings for this word. But not now.

My schooling experience can be traced all the way back to when I'm just seven years old. DaQiao primary school. It was the first day of school. I can still remember how the school was flooded with tall and huge people. Until now, I'm still so glad that my mum was with me on my first day of school. She stayed by my side all the while.

Then, I met the friend who changed my life. I met JiaXin. I can still remember how and where we met. My mum was bringing me to my class and she introduced me to the person who was sitting beside me. Yes that's right. She is Tio Jia Xin. Can you imagine? From the first day of school, we became friends. And until now, 11 years later, she still remains my best friend. This friendship is definitely one that I will treasure for many years to come.

We became best friends quickly. And since then, I don't remember having any other close friends in school. To me, she's all I need. However, things didn't go as well as I thought. At 9, I didn't perform as well academically and I got transferred out of the class. That's when I met other primary school friends of mine, kim yen and chia yi er. The three of us became best friends. I remember spending alot of time with them playing and having fun. However, things didn't go the way I thought again. But this time round, I performed well academically. It's the first time I actually got first in the whole class. Really awesome feeling. And so, I got transferred out of that class, back to JiaXin's class. By then, JiaXin and I already became complete strangers.

However, eventually, JiaXin reached out to me. She made a surprise call during the holiday when we were 11 and we became best friends quickly again.

I missed those times. We were young and carefree. Even though I was shy and quiet in school, I don't remember hating school. In fact, whenever I'm with JiaXin, I was happy. Everyone in school was nice too.

My primary school life isn't all that special or worth mentioning, but I definitely enjoyed myself. And I think that's all that matters. =)

What is life after all? Is life all about taking risks? Or is life all about staying safe to protect the ones we love? Why do we go to school? Why do we struggle to survive school? Everything we do must have a purpose right?

Unsettled heart. So disgusted. What's wrong with me? Weird. Seriously weird.

update

Last week's pretty hectic. Even though it was suppose to be my march holiday. My holiday was like only two days! Saturday had piano theory exam and Sunday had judo competition. Monday to Wednesday was school. Anyway, not going to complain anymore.

Everything's about your mindset. I'm going to adopt a positive mindset from now onwards. At least I'll try to.
These few days I experienced the significant difference the moment I consciously change my mindset.
I became happier and people around me also became happier.

If you haven't know, I did badly for my block test. Well, I only have myself to blame. It's the fact that I didn't work hard enough. And got the grades I deserve. They will serve as a wake up call. Time to get serious. And buck up. And just think positively.

These days I've been getting more comfortable with my classmates already. It's really all about mindset. I think I'm really awkward with people. And I kind of fear people. Like I will deliberately avoid people in general. But I'm working on it now :) Just be myself right? OK. I'll do just that!

Anyway, my plan now is to focus on my studies and catch up on my work. Plan to participate in another judo competition too. So I'm going to intensify my training to three times a week now. Hopefully I'll have greater and faster improvements.
